brush study

Here's another sketch of mine I took and experimented with some brushes in photoshop. The inspiration came from an artist I stumbled upon while paroozing Deviantart.com.  Francis Tsai is his name I believe.

caricatures

Something I thought I'd throw up here.  Just a few random characters I've done in my sketchbook or on random pieces of paper while at church, out at lunch or just while at home.

superman study

I've been a fan of comic art since I was a kid, but haven't really attempted my own stuff.  So, here's a superman sketch I did the other night.  Though I skipped the inking part, I thought I'd try adding color to it, just to see how it'd turn out.

The Red Car

Here are my favorite illustrations I did taken from Don Stanford's "Red Car."  The first is a scene in which the main character is out for some early morning fishing while the other is him working on the car of his dreams in the garage.  Each is done in charcoal.

Tom's Diner

Another class project.  This from a digital illustration class based around the lyrics from Suzanne Vega's "Tom's Diner,"  in which we were to utilize the concept of positive and negative space.  And I know, there's nothing about a gorilla in the song.

Sketchbook Excerpt 2

Something I did in anticipation of the newest Batman film "The Dark Knight."

"Night Screams"

This was a project from a special studies class where an illustration was to be created around a pseudo article from Psychology Today about nightmares entitled "Night Screams."
