skateboard


While working a Halloween booth for the Y, we were raffling off a couple of skate board from a local shop. A couple of us grabbed one and threw on a design. It was the first time I'd actually worked with markers since I was a kid--let alone paint markers. It was kind of nice working on something other than paper or canvas.

I was digging around in my computer and found this project I did as part of a summer internship a couple years ago. It was intended for a small independent film, but I never heard if it ever went to production.

Pixie for a Pixy

It's been a long time since my last post...here I did a little project for a friend. The subject was not my original intention but the more I thought about it, the more it seemed fitting to do a pixie character for someone who resembles the spritish creature in looks and attitude.

I always wanted to do my sept. '08 post as an actual project, and so I finally buckled down and got it done. I experimented with the technique for this one applying a drawing onto a canvas and then painting over it.

Fondue Fonda Panda Bear


I was listening to a podcast from Frank the Podcast, and one of the show hosts broke into a pseudo rap about a "fondue fonda panda bear." The tune was catchy enough, and I came up with a nonsensical picture for a nonsensical song from a nonsensical podcast show.
